Ronnie Bull who recently won our first ever "volunteer of the year award." has also been recognised by England Squash for her support of squash at the club and for junior squash in general.
Ronnie has been a squash member with us for the past 25 years and in that time she has done an outstanding amount for the Club.
Her volunteering started when her two sons were juniors as she used to organize the Winchester junior teams whilst running her two son's Michael & Phillip to tournaments & matches around the county & beyond.
She then joined the Squash Committee as an elected member & dedicated many years to the Club by attending monthly meetings & dealing with any committee issues as necessary. Ronnie has also been an avid member of our ladies Teams for many years now; she has also been ladies team captain in her time.
Ronnie has also helped to organize many Club tournaments & events. One of her greatest achievements is founding the "Winchester Junior Open" Annual Squash tournament. Since our first tournament back in 2000, Ronnie along with a host of other volunteers has played a major part in the organizing of such a big event. This year being our first ever "Silver Event" & each year attracting some 100 or more juniors. She organizes all of the draws & scheduling prior to the tournament & then devotes her whole weekend to running the tournament desk & dealing with any issues that arise.
Ronnie has also helped for numerous years with Hampshire Squash Association, being on the committee, attending meetings & AGM's & also running the junior section & leagues.
