As reported earlier we recently advertised for a Head of Player Development following an independent review of the tennis coaching programme.
We are pleased to announce that Andy Sheridan has been given the position. Andy shone above all the other shortlisted applicants (4 from 26) and was the unanimous choice of the panel. His presentation was excellent; it demonstrated a well thought out and strategic approach to the role and his passion for the job was clearly obvious to all the panel.
We are all confident that we have made the right choice and look forward to seeing the impact that this new role will have on the programme.
Some words from Andy... "After being a member for almost twenty-five years, and a full-time coach for fourteen of those, I am very excited to have finally attained a position which will give me greater responsibility in developing all of our players.
Winchester is a hugely prestigious club with excellent coaches and facilities and we have a proven history of developing successful players. My primary focus will be ensuring we maintain this track record whilst improving the standard across the board in all age groups"
