Crazy Croquet Day....

On Jan 3rd, the croquet section had its first crazy croquet day. There were 16 players so it was fully subscribed. We played 3 games: 'pirates', 'target' and 'one other'. The events were won by the usual suspects, namely Nigel Hind, Roger Barnacle and Keith M Ross      See full story...

Employee of the month for January....Ryan Griffin

Our grounds assistant Ryan Griffin has been awarded employee of the month for January in recognition of the work to clear the snow from the road, car park, footpaths and tennis courts. We must have been the only club in the county that had courts available for play on Saturday afternoon after the heavy snowfall the day before.      See full story...

At a B Level Advanced Association croquet tournament (Handicaps from 2 to 8) at Hamptworth over the week-end of September 1st and 2nd, 2 Winchester players, Rita Nunn and Keith M Ross took part in a field of 6 players representing Parkstone, Bowden and Nottingham.      See full story...

Three Tournaments Croquet at Hamptworth....

Winchester CC Secretary Keith M Ross played in 3 consecutive tournaments at Hamptworth. In the first Open Doubles AC with Ivor Nunn on Sat-Sun July 28th and 29th, the pair won just one match out of 5, Richard Dickson and partner won the competition.      See full story...

Winchester BABOLAT Open 2012...winners

This tournament, managed at Winchester for the last 6 years by former member Kevin Carter (now at Surbiton) and played on Saturday May 12th this year was won by newcomer Andrew Rutland playing off a handicap of 24 (the highest) from Parsons Green.      See full story...
