Courts Now Available to Book

As padel tennis will be new to many people, we are providing some free coach led group taster sessions to introduce this great game. Padel bats and balls are available to borrow free of charge for an initial period to let you try out the game. The programme of activities will be circulated ahead of the opening.

If you haven't seen the game before, there is a plethora of videos on youtube that you can watch, many which simply showcase the game and others which offer coaching tips on how to play. Have a look for yourself!

As a starting point you can visit the website of LTA Padel - they are the acting governing body for padel in Britain - all the rules and information you need are on there and there is also a link from there to the LTA Padel youtube videos.

How are the courts operating at the Club?
The courts are available to members (gold, rackets, squash, fitness and croquet categories) in the same way that indoor tennis is available.

They can be booked at a cost of £5/half hour and this rate is applied at all times of the day with no additional cost for floodlights. (You may be interested to know that the standard charges for padel at most existing UK clubs and venues are usually around £20/hr with additional fees for lights)

The current guest fees of £5 adult and £2.50 are charged when you add a non member friend or family member to your booking.

Padel Membership
We have introduced a new category of membership for people who may wish to join and have member booking rights for playing padel. This category does not have member access to any other sports or fitness activities at the Club and the cost of this category of membership is currently available at £120. So if you have friends or family members who might have a specific interest in playing padel, this new category may appeal to them.

Non Member bookings
Like the arrangements for our indoor courts, non members are able to book padel courts but with a much less advance booking period than members (so members always have booking priority) and the non member rate is double the member cost at £10/half hour.
